Champions League power rankings: Barcelona, Arsenal and Bayern shine
See who's hot and who's not after Matchday 1
The start of the Champions League group stage had all the drama and excitement we’ve come to expect from the world’s biggest club competition.
The English sides, led by Arsenal and Manchester City, shined, while Spain’s top clubs, Barcelona and Real Madrid, also managed to grab wins. New summer signings such as Joao Felix and Jude Bellingham made statements by scoring goals. Heck, we even saw a goalie score.
Here’s a look at the first power rankings of the season:
10. Feyenoord (1-0)
It helped that Celtic was reduced to nine players following two red cards as the Dutch champions scored two second-half goals for the 2-0 victory.
9. Napoli (1-0)
The Serie A champions struggled for stretches of its match against Braga, but an own goal four minutes from time gave the Partenopei a 2-1 win and the three points.
8. Porto (1-0)
A 3-1 win against an injury-depleted Shakhtar Donetsk was highlighted by a Galeno brace.
7. RB Salzburg (1-0)
A 2-0 win for the Austrian club against 10-man Benfica has set the tone for what could result in a spot in the knockout stage.
6. Real Madrid (1-0)
Bellingham continued his fairytale star at Real Madrid with a late winner against Union Berlin for the 1-0 win.
5. Manchester City (1-0)
The defending UCL champions survived an early scare against Red Star Belgrade, downing the Serbian club 3-1 thanks to a Julian Alvarez brace.

PSG may have lost Lionel Messi and Neymar, but they held onto Kylian Mbappe, who scored a goal to set the French club up for a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund.
